GAMES & SPORTS IN THE VIDYALAYA

GAMES & SPORTS:




All works and no play makes jack a dull boy. Sports and games keep students physically fit and mentally alert. There Is a multipurpose play field in the premises of the Vidyalaya. Regular coaching is given by our sports instructors and coaches arranged by the school to achieve excellence in this field. Special coaching is available for Volley-Ball, Judo, Karate, Hockey, Tennis And Skating.



ACHIEVEMENTS

Our Vidyalaya participated in various sports and Games in regional meet 2011-12. 16 students of our Vidyalaya were selected to represent KVS National sports in different games. Students of our Vidyalaya got 17 Gold and 08 Silver in Athletics, Table Tennis, Swimming, Judo and Chess competitions held at Regional level.

Sports Activity in Our Vidyalaya

Opening of Sports Activity

K.V. Tagore Garden announced formal Opening of Sports Activity on 27.4.11 under the direction, guidance and supervision of hon’ble Principal Mrs. Seema Srivastava.

The Programme was presented in a combined assembly where in all students of all sections for classes I to XII enjoyed the spectacular show. After the usual morning assembly programmes. Ashutosh Kumar of class IX D gave a talk about importance of sports in the overall development of the child. The programme kicked off with a March. Past by all the 5 group including participation from primary class students. It was lovely watching students marching step by step to the beats of drum led by Harpreet singh of class X-C; Saluting the guest of the day. Ms. Seema Srivastava Principal KVTG. Along with Ms. Joshi (V.P) and Ms. K.Purohit (H.M.) Oh! How nostalgic it was to watch Rohit Chopra Class VII athlete running with the torch amongst the huge applaude. This was followed by Oath ceremony by Ekant of class and declaration of sports meet open by Ms. Seema Srivastava(Principal KVTG).She was overwhelmed by the march past/torch bearing ceremony. She addressed the students about the importance of sports and how CCE incorporates its role in the promotion policies. She encouraged sports activities so that through participants and wining medals they reach the hughest levels. She also congratulated the students for the presentation. The Cultural show started with a presentation.The cultural show started with a Swagat geet prepared by Ms. Vandana Sharma. स्वागतम मंगलम स्वागतम , आपके यहाँ आने से फूल बन उठा हमारा मन | Where in the students beautifully mixed classical dance form along with some aerobic steps ; Ms. S.Nag(Music Teacher) very innovately blended the song - चक दे , सुनो खिलाडी वाहे वाहे - - - - -दे घुमा के and कुछ करिए कुछ करिए ,where in there were performances from the most of sports activities – Skates, Cricket , T.T. , Hockey , Aerobics, Stunts, Ex- Pyramids formation and yes , there was kite flying tool to close the item the students made a formation of national flag and sang in the rhythm of National Anthem.It was a visual treat watching the performances of about a 100 students in sequence. The next show on the list was aerobics by about 40 students. The item was prepared by Mr. Gurpreet singh (Sports Coach). The students looked dancing steps on the beats of ‘Brazil’.Song by Venga Boys Group! Followed by Aerobics show a lazium show was presented by class V-C students where in the sound of the laziums in the rhythm created waves of music in the whole atmosphere .It was worth congratulated Ms. Madhu Pathik (PRT) and Ms. Hem Lata (Sports Instructor). In the end Ms. Joshi (V.P.) thanked one and all for making the programme a success.She Congratulate one and all for presentation beyond expectation as the time was too short/She thanked Madam Principal for conceiving the beautiful idea & the support and the supervision throught out the show. She thanked Mr. V.G.Kaushik(Sports Incharge), Ms. Aruna Sharma (Yoga Teacher), without whose cooperation the programme would not be possible. Last but not the least. She extended her thanks to Mrs. K. Purohit, Ms. Monica Bajaj, Ms. M. Joshi, Ms. R.Mittal, Mr. S.K.Srivastava, Ms. Sunita Hans, Mr. S. Mandal, Mr. A.K. Mishra, Mr. K. P. Pandey without whose support the show wouldn’t have been so big!



Tulika is selected to present in judo event in SGFI.


Sports Day Celebrated in Our School 29-10-11 Annual Sports Day was celebrated on 29 October 2011 in which students and teachers participated with great enthusiasm and zeal. Chief Guest of the event was Shri. Shikhar Dhawan. Various cultural program was presented which was greatly enjoyed by the students. Prizes were given to the students who did well in various activities. Main attraction of the day was Musical Chair organised for teachers. Students cheered their teachers and enjoyed it the most
