DRUG AWARENESS WORKSHOP - 6 Dec 2007 :
A 2004 National Survey on "drug abuse" in India by United Nations office on drug & crime found that 90% of alcohol users were introduced to it before 15 years of age & 28% between 16 & 20 years. "Swashrit Society" in association with Deutsche Bank has taken an initiative to sensitize the youth of India about the substances use, its symptoms, treatment & recovery nearly 45 representatives of class IX & XI of Kendriya Vidyalaya Tagore Garden attended an orientation workshop on "Substance Abuse Cessation" program on 6th dec 2007. The aim of this workshop is to foster responsible youth about the ill effects of drugs & alcohol & are suitablly equiped to handle life situations positively without falling prey to any kind of substance abuse.
Students took keen interest in the workshop which was followed by powerpoint presentation & one act play & hence put their first step in war against drug , alcohol & tobacco.

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP - 5 Dec 2007 :
On 5 Dec 2007, Personality development Workshop was conducted by Gillete Company in which boys of class X & XI participated with great enthusiasm & zeal. A discussion with the students has been held about the requisite of "The winning edge" in life. i.e.
1. Appropriate skill
2. Proper Education
3. Pleasing Personality
It was indeed great endeavour towards enhancing the personality of the child & empowerment to gain confidence in life. Students were given momentoes also to boost up the morale.

C.C.A. :
The Vidyalaya promises to provide a valuable foundation in the building up of not only academic excellence but also character an overall growth of the students.Co-curricular activities form an integral part of the school curriculum and a good number of students participate in some activity or the other so as to top their innate potential.

The Vidyalaya is divided in to four houses ie. Kaveri, Narmada, Kalindi, Bhagirathi.Regular inter house competitions are held in dance, music, recitation, calligraphy, drawing, painting, debates and declamation etc.The idea is to inculcate a sense of healthy competition. Inter house competitions are held ensuring mass participation.
Students of the Vidyalaya presented a colorful Fusion dance on the occasion of the inauguration ceremony of the K.V.S. National Games and sports meet2004-2005 at Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium, Lodhi Road.

ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES:
Our Vidyalaya organizes many trips and excursions to places of scientific, historical and cultural importance. The school organized Trekking, expedition to Nanital hills, white water rafting at Sgivpuri (Rishikesh), Rock climbing and kayking. These provide the students greater exposure and opportunity to test their physical aptitude.

ECO. CLUB :
Activities of Eco. Club are focused towards increasing awareness of our environment. Students are encouraged to adopt self restraint by means of various life skills, like skits and action songs. The Idea "Nature Is our Future" is promoted by planting trees, organizing skits and rallies in the vicinity to create awareness about pollution, harmful effects of polybags and burning of crackers.Through placards and one act plays the student learn about the need for water and energy conservation.

CONSUMER CLUB:
A Consumers' club has been organized in the Vidyalaya. The club aims at making the students aware of problems and rights of the Consumers.

P.T.M.:
Parent Teacher meetings are conducted after every term to apprise the parents of the students' progress and also to get a feed back from the parents for the betterment of the students.

CAREER COUNSELING :
In an endeavor to help the young minds to understand their strength and weaknesses (potential) and also for deciding their future, career planning workshops are organized from time to time Expert guidance is also available for providing them with requisite know-how of the emerging trends.
Experts from reputed institutes are inveted to counsel and guide the students in choosing their careers.The avenues,new courses,placements oppertuneties and future projects are delt with;helping the students select their profession on the basis of their aptitude.

STUDY MATERIAL:
Study Material for all the subjects of class X and XII students, prepared by a team of teacher of K.V. under the guidance of K.V.S. Delhi Region is provided free of cost to all the students to help them achieve academic excellence in the Board Exam.
